Endodontic Management of a Maxillary Molar with Three Mesiobuccal Canals
It is imperative that the clinician should have comprehensive knowledge about the normal anatomy and its variations of the teeth as the deviations from the usual are very common. An increased awareness of unusual anatomy and a better understanding of the root canal system guide the clinician in accurate diagnosis and treatment of such variations in order to achieve a successful endodontic outco...

Anatomic variations in root canal morphology have become easier to detect with the rapid advancements in clinical and diagnostic aids. Also an increased awareness of unusual anatomic morphology and a better understanding of the root canal system guides the clinician in diagnosis and treatment of such variations in order to achieve a successful endodontic outcome. Mesiobuccal root of first maxil...
متن کامل[Maxillary first molar with three mesiobuccal root canals: a case report].
Three root canals in the mesiobuccal root of maxillary first molar is unusual. The aim of this case report was to describe a maxillary first molar that presented three root canals in the mesiobuccal root. The distance among the three canal orifices was 1.5 mm. The working lengths of the three canals were within the normal range.

Abstract: Human maxillary first molars are usually considered as three-rooted teeth with four root canals for the presence of a second canal in the Mesio Buccal root (MB2). In addition, lateral ramifications and apical delta of the root canal system may frequently occur, increasing the probability of leaving untreated spaces after the root canal therapy. A thorough knowledge of root canal mor...

To ensure the long-term success of root canal treatment, it is essential to access, clean, and fill all of the canal spaces. However, the anatomic complexities and variations are constant challenges for successful endodontic therapy.1 The morphology of the maxillary first molar has been extensively studied and reported in the literature. Studies have revealed a high incidence of double canal sy...
